Mondays With Mike V. Episode #17 features all the skate action from this past week of demos from Mike V, Duane Peters, Bill Danforth, Kristian Svitak and Cyril Jackson. Episode #17 also features Bill's epic slam, Doctor Peters, the new Regulator Distribution theme song (with vocals by Kelley Deal) and an epic roller skating intro.
While this was going on Ben Raybourn took 4th place (and took home $7000!) at Coastal Carnage. Killer job Ben!

We have 2 huge things to share with you today. Well let Svitak fill you in...
Regulator Distribution Launch!
In 2006 my friend Mike Beer, of Beer City skateboards and records, and I decided to start 1031 skateboards. That was dumb idea number one! In 2009 we decided to start dumb idea number 2 and that is called Landshark wheels. Well since then we have been approached by a few major skateboard distributors with interest in either buying our companies or distributing them. Every skateboard company owners dream right? All that notoriety and money rolling in! Well we saw it a little differently. No offense but at the end of the day we were not to sure we could trust some of these guys. I mean I dont know if some of them even skate anymore and I know for fact that some of them never even did! You know what we had to say about that? Fuck that!
Now lets bring you up to today. I'm sure you all know by now that my good friend Mike Vallely has quit Element to start his own company on his own dime, "By the Sword". Mike for some reason asked me a lot of questions about how we run our business, I dont know what the hell he is thinking. Well I've helped him out a little, showing him some pointers and we got to talking. We got to talking about the whole distribution thing. Turns out, he feels the same way we do about things. So, we said "Fuck this" and decided to get together and start our own distribution company! Thats right skate jocks! Kristian Svitak (me), Mike Vallely, and Mike Beer have joined forces for dumb idea number 3! I give you "Regulator Distribution"! Regulator will be the home of 1031 skateboards, By The Sword Skateboards, Landshark Wheels, Beer City Skateboards and Records and D.R.I. Records and Merch.
Go get weird on that!

So im sure you've all heard the news about Mike Vallely's new company, "By The Sword" and our new distribution company, "Regulator".
Well 'til Mikes "By The Sword" boards start coming into the warehouse, I realized he needs to have a good board under his feet. So I bring you the "1031" Mike Vallely , guest model. The boards are in now and available at better skate shops world wide, and if your local shop is too lame to have them you can get them at 1031skates.com or go to Regulatordist.com . Were only doing one run of these so get em while you can, numbers are limited! Just think you can probably get Mike to sign it and sell it on E-bay for a grip one day!
Well thats all the news for now. And by the way, trust me, I have no idea how I tricked Mike into doing this shit with me!
